If you like listening to static in a tin can... May 09, 2009 My wife wanted this phone because of its small footprint. This is the worst cordless phone we have ever owned. "Worst" means that it doesn't provide clear sound. Do not buy this phone if sound quality is important to you.

Great phone-cool design Jan 28, 2009 I tried the V-Tech slim phone-no battery life whatsoever. This is a great phone. Very good battery life on this one. No interference. My only complaint is it doesn't automatically show if you received a call. You have to move the down arrow to view. No big problem, though. This is the best phone I ever had.

Beauty is only skin deep! Jan 15, 2009 I bought this phone because it was so awesome and modern and little. My little grandson fell asleep for his nap with the phone under him and crushed the lcd display and is was under warranty (two months old) but the ge people considered it misuse so they wouldn't fix it. Six months later the phone itself won't work. I have had better luck with cheaper phones and am very disappointed in this one.

Hard to Hear on this Phone Oct 07, 2008 I bought this phone at OfficeMax but I'd like to share my review. I bought it because it it was only $40 and looks like it should be much more.
PROS: I was attracted to its slimness and small size of the base. I like how the keys light up and I like the display. Speaker phone on handset is nice. I like how the light turns off when it's charging, unlike the Panasonic KX-TG8231B which stays on and is pretty annoying. We live in the woods, and both of these phones go 200 feet out to the road, and then they cut out. My 900 mhz phone goes much further (our 2.4 ghz Panasonic only goes 50-100 ft).
CONS: Quite a few cons, which is why I took this phone back to the store! First, the phone was too slim to hold comfortably. I knew that when I bought it and would have lived with it, but I just though I should let you know. The phone not being able to stand up is a problem as I don't want the face or back to get scratched. You really need it to stand up when using the speaker phone too. Speaking of which, the speaker is too low and I found it hard to hear...and I have very good ears.
The main problem with the phone, was that when you make ANY type of noise, for example breathing, the phone recognizes that and turns down the speaker volume to a near-mute level, so you can hear the person talking on the other end. THIS WAS TERRIBLE! The other thing I hated about the phone was that the answering machine's speaker never turned off! If the refrigerator was running you couldn't tell, but if all was quiet you could hear the answering machine speaker hissing...and never turning off.
I took the phone back and bought the Panasonic KX-TG8231B. It stands on its base, has a loud speaker, doesn't mute the speaker, has the same range, and just feels more solid. I just reviewed that. If the light being on doesn't bother you, get that phone. If you want the light to shut off and can live without the color screen, get the Panasonic KX-TG9331T. I'm going to stick to Panasonic from now on. I know they're good!
