Philips CD4402B/37 Cordless Phone--Great Buy! Oct 04, 2008 I was pleased with the low price and how quickly I received the Philips CD4402B/37 High Def Voice Cordless Phone I ordered from Amazon.com. I use the phones daily and am very pleased with the voice quality, the speakerphone and all the features of the phone. I plan to expand the system by buying additional handsets.

Horrible Battery life and setup Oct 03, 2008 Glad I got this from a place that was willing to take it back after 10 months of use. Battery life is horrible. If you dont dock it every night, it will last maybe a day tops. Phone looks good, sounds great however.
Setup required the user's manual. You have to enter some codes for security reasons. I'm not technically challenged at all, but seriously, this isn't an Audio Surround tuner we're talking about, why make it so complicated?
You have been warned.

clear sound big LCD screen Oct 01, 2008 its perfect for the price long battery life very sleek looking crisp clear sound and this is a big plus for me use's AA rechargeable batteries and come with 2 pair in the box that charge on the phone stand. Because I hate buying those funky square phone adapter batteries expensive take for ever to charge. I brought a extra 2 pair with charger on sale at radio shack just in case for those long calls pop in and good to go.The phone range is very good no problems but I wish it did have a internal answering machine.the menu screen is abit funky at the start but ajusted with in 3 days all good five stars all the way

I'll give it another try Sep 23, 2008 I bought this phone like everyone else, pretty good reviews, phone is attractive, and it's got all the bells and whistles. But, after i charged the phones for 24 hours, one of them could not keep a charge for more than 24 hours on standby. Registering the phones was pretty simple after reading the manual, but I had a power outage the next day, and the phones cleared the Time and Date, which doesn't make sense, and I had to re-register the phone and/or base. That same handset, has a distorted ring, and no the volume is not full, only 3 or 4 of 5. Also, the blue lcd contrast is hardly visible at night. Otherwise, all the features of the phone are great, especially the INTERCOM. Anyway, I really want to give this phone another shot, so I will re-purchase it. Besides, I don't like anything else out there!

DON'T DO IT!!! Aug 31, 2008 I never write reviews, but I've had such a negative experience with this phone, I was inspired. In a nutshell, the battery charge doesn't last, I can't switch to speaker without it powering down entirely (???), it often wants to search for the base, although I'm sitting in the same room, the interface is HORRIBLE - what good is caller ID if I have to scroll to the right to see the number?? Why does the little light insist on alerting me when I've already checked a message? it never turns off!! (could explain the battery problem). I've read the manual twice with no enlightenment on some of these issues. The ONLY 2 things that are good about it are the sound and the fact that it doesn't come with an answering machine. (Why so many with machines in the age of digital voicemail??)
It's in the trash.
