Plantronics mx500i pretty good headset Nov 12, 2008
I wear a headset all day some days so I need something comfortable. The mx500i fits that bill. Since I have a hearing loss in some frequencies audio quality is important to me. This doesn't have a lot of booming bass that makes me unable to understand people. So that's good. I do find that the noise and echo cancellation are a little worse than I would hope. People in conferences with me do hear background noise more than I'd like and if I turn up the earphone too far they will hear an echo coming back at themselves. But it's a good buy overall.

This headset is so darn comfortable you can literally wear it all day long and not even know you have it on.... This is an amazing product and I would recommend it to anyone that uses a non-bluetooth ready phone. This is made for all day phone conversations. Even if you only use the phone once and awhile and you have a lot of things to do you can wear this headset and do what you have to do and not even know you are wearing it. You can clean or take care of your baby and answer the phone if it rings at that inop time.

Not bad, not bad....
As with everything strange that doesn't belong in your body. Long or extended use at first can start to have an uncomfortable feel. Once I keep using it I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Cable is a little extra long, which is fine since I can always wrap a little bit near my PC. The microphone swivels a little so you can either use it on your left or right ear and still have the mic pointing to your mouf to blabber into it. (I just hope it never gets too loose with extended use, but hey things break anyway right?)
Overall I'd recommend it... although somehow I wish I could've gotten a wireless device... I'll keep this one and not have to hassle with batteries and the like. It does a good job and sound is good anyway.

This headset worked even better than I expected. It's comfortable and doesn't interfere with glasses or hair-dos. The sound is clear and I'm told by those on the other end of our VoIP calls, that they can hear me clearly, as well. The only complaint I have is that it's not wireless, but then I knew that when I bought it. Works well with Skype and also for listening to news reports, etc. via the computer without annoying everyone around you.

I got this headset to use for WoW and couldn't be happier! Earpiece is extremely comfortable with great sound quality (for me and the talkee) for such a low cost. Would recommend to anyone looking for a headset for use with their computer.
